Hand Carved Crochet Hooks

My husband hand carves these hooks using Australian Gum. Right back when I began this “woolly” journey I bought a timber hook online but it just didn’t run well at all. I asked (begged) my very handy husband to make me one. He did! And with a bit of work ( I would use it, give more tips, he would follow said tips) he is now, in my humble opinion, THE BEST hook maker around! I only use hooks he has made me now to make every single piece of The Woollen Earth!
 
The timber feels warm in your hand and has just the right amount of grip in my grasp. 
 
They come unvarnished, which is how my started. Mine now all have a deep golden glow to them from working with wool, constantly being coated by lanolin, stitch after stitch. So the more you use it, the better it runs.
 
They are a nice little treat for yourself or a really beautiful personal gift for a friend.
