FROM AUSTRALIAN SOURCED MERINO WOOL TO NATURAL PACKAGING & EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

The beauty of wool is this; it protects the sheep and once the sheep is shorn, the sheep effortlessly regrows more wool and the wool in our hands retains its amazing qualities. See “Why choose Merino” for more details. The lanolin (the natural oil in the wool) makes wool water resistant, and the fibre itself is moisture wicking; meaning it takes moisture away from our skin and keeps us comfortably warm without the sweatiness of other man-made fibres.

I feel so passionate about the fact that the wool that I source is such fine quality as well as being an amazingly sustainable product, and a product that we can proudly support our farmers in producing.

OUR PACKAGING

I also endeavour to use sustainable packaging where possible. If you shop with me at a market your goodies will be bagged in our recycled paper bags. We also hand stamp every bag to minimise machinery usage where possible for less carbon emissions.

If you shop with me online, your order is wrapped with ‘No Issue’ tissue paper, an Australian based company producing their tissue paper from bamboo and sugar cane fibres which are much more sustainable than using longer life trees.

HAND CARVED CROCHET HOOKS

And lastly, the hand carved crochet hooks available for purchase, and the very hooks that I make all your products on, we carve only from fallen Aussie Gum branches which we collect while walking the dog, and our boys!
